Prince Christian Sound, located in the south of Greenland, is a 100 km long and sometimes only 500 meters wide sea passage separating the mainland from the Cape Farewell archipelago. Cruisers passing through this strait can admire glaciers plunging straight into the sea, steep mountains reaching 2,200 meters above sea level and slowly drifting icebergs. The only village in the area, Aappilattoq, offers a glimpse of traditional Greenlandic life. Local wildlife includes whales, seals and various species of seabirds.
