Discovering the Czech Republic begins with Prague, its capital. Golden city for some, city of a hundred steeples for others, mother of all cities for some, Prague has many eulogistic nicknames. The destination can be visited almost all year round, but the best time to enjoy the beauty of the landscape is between May and September. At this time of year, all the conditions are in place to make your stay unforgettable. The sun is often out and the thermometer often fluctuates between 15 and 25°C, gently warming the atmosphere. Occasional showers cool the air. As they never last very long, they won't put a damper on your cross-country excursions. However, if you want to escape the holiday crowds, it's best to plan your trip a little earlier, in April, or later, in October.
