Oceania Cruises highlights
Oceania Cruises is known for "the finest cuisine at sea". With its Oceania NEXT program, the company offers new dishes and menus (including Italian cuisine) as well as local specialties. Dishes are prepared with fresh, high-quality produce, and menus are designed by renowned chefs such as Jacques Papin and Alexis Quaretti.
In addition to top-quality cuisine worthy of the finest restaurants, gourmets can take part in culinary excursions during their stopovers (famous restaurants, markets...). It's also possible to take cooking classes on board, at the Culinary Center.
Oceania Cruises offers top-quality service for a luxury cruise. Onboard comfort is optimal, and the staff is attentive to passenger needs. The atmosphere on board is both intimate and relaxed, in luxurious surroundings and human-scale ships.
Oceania Cruises offers passengers a wide range of benefits, including full board and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. It is also renowned for its excellent value for money.
Awards
Oceania Cruises was honored by the renowned Cruise Critics magazine in 2019. In particular, it received the award for Best Luxury Ship Renovation for the Insignia and also for the quality of the onboard cuisine and its excellent culinary offering. This confirms its reputation as "the finest cuisine at sea".
Oceania Cruises was also named to Condé Nast Traveler magazine's Gold List for the Marina in the category "The best cruise ships in the world".
Oceania Cruises' social and environmental commitment
Oceania Cruises is deeply committed to protecting biodiversity, ecosystems and animals. This applies, for example, to whale avoidance, the partnership with the Alaska Raptor Center and the protection of manatees.
Oceania Cruises has also launched the Vero Water program. Under this scheme, single-use plastic water bottles are replaced on board by reusable ones. In addition, the company produces 80% of its own fresh water on board its ships.
Oceania Cruises' main ships
The Oceania Cruises fleet is divided into three classes and seven ships. The Regatta class includes the smallest ships, which can carry 684 passengers: Nautica, Sirena, L'Insignia and Regate. They have been sailing since 1998/2000 and were all modernized between 2018 and 2022.
Oceania Cruises' two largest ships, the Riviera and Marina, are in the Oceania class. These can accommodate up to 1,250 passengers in 625 cabins.
The newest class is the Allura, and its first ship is the Vista, sailing from 2023.
The Insignia has been sailing since 1998 and has been beautifully updated in 2018. She is an ultra-luxury vessel offering intimate cruises with a capacity of 684 passengers, as well as 400 crew members. She is 180 meters long and 25 meters wide, and belongs to the Regatta class. On board there's a casino, heated swimming pool, jogging track, spa, duty-free stores, live entertainment, 8 bars and lounges... The average surface area of cabins (inside / outside / balcony) is 15 to 20 square meters, and 30 to 93 square meters for suites.
The Riviera is part of the Oceania class with its sister-ship the Marina. It dates back to 2012 and was renovated in 2019. One of the largest ships in the fleet, it can carry 1,250 passengers and 800 crew. This luxurious ship offers a wide range of onboard activities, including a swimming pool, spa, running track, mini-golf, shows, conferences and painting or cooking classes. Passengers can choose from indoor, outdoor or balcony cabins ranging in size from 16 to 26 square meters. Luxurious suites range from 39 square meters to 185 square meters for the Owners Suite.
The Vista, due to enter service in 2023, is the very first ship in the Allura class. Measuring 251 meters long and 32 meters wide, it can carry 1,200 passengers and 8,000 crew. On board, passengers can make the most of the sea views, as all cabins have balconies. Cabins measure 24/27 square meters, and for maximum space and luxury, suites range from 40 to 172 square meters.
