The Marghera port sits on the mainland, about 10 km from the historic center. All passengers first complete check-in at the Venice Cruise Terminal in the center (Stazione Marittima), then board a shuttle (bus or ferry) organized by lines such as MSC or Costa to the ship berthed in Marghera. Afterward, a second shuttle or ferry returns guests to the terminal or takes them to Piazzale Roma. The People Mover links Piazzale Roma with Tronchetto, a convenient access point for the passenger terminal. The transfer generally takes 15 to 20 minutes to Venice’s center.
The passenger terminal at Stazione Marittima offers secure parking via Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A.; advance online booking is recommended to guarantee a space on arrival.
The Venice Cruise Terminal (Stazione Marittima) provides modern facilities: check-in areas, accessibility assistance, waiting zones, restrooms, cafés, vending machines, and Wi-Fi. In Marghera itself, facilities are very limited: restrooms and a baggage area.
