Port Everglades is located in the southeastern end of Fort Lauderdale, between the 17th Street Causeway and I-595 highway, about a 5-minute drive from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (GPS coordinates: 26.0928, -80.1268). The port features multiple terminals spread across two main areas: Northport and Midport. Port Everglades is extremely accessible. From Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), the port is reachable in under 10 minutes by taxi, shuttle, or rideshare. Nearby hotels also offer complimentary shuttle transfers to the terminals. From Miami International Airport (MIA), travel time ranges from 35 to 50 minutes depending on traffic. For guests arriving by car, the port is accessible via Interstate 595 East (exit US-1 North or SE 17th Street), with secured entrances at Eller Drive, Spangler Blvd, or Eisenhower Blvd. A public bus (Broward Transit Route 1) also connects FLL airport to Northport.
Port Everglades offers several official parking facilities, both covered and open-air, with a total capacity of over 5,500 spaces. The Heron Garage, located in Northport, primarily serves Terminals 2 and 4, with covered walkways providing direct access to the facilities. The Palm Garage in Midport is close to Terminals 19, 21, 25, 26, and 29. Free shuttles connect the garages to the more distant terminals. Next to Terminal 18, Royal Caribbean offers a dedicated parking area. Rates are competitive, with discounts for long-term parking.
