6-Environment
Carnival Celebration is the second Carnival ship to be powered by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) after its sister ship Mardi Gras. LNG is the cleanest marine fuel currently available on a large scale. This source of energy allows a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and eliminates almost all the fine particles emitted in the exhaust gases. In addition, all waste generated during the cruise is sorted on board the ship and most of the fresh water used is produced on board via a seawater desalination system.
